Father's Day

In celebration of Father's Day, please enjoy this collection: a few of the fabulous fathers and families I have had the joy of photographing this year.

A father means something different to everyone. I’m lucky enough to have one of the best! My father is dedicated and loyal, almost to a fault (wink!) He’s the most honest person I’ve ever met. He would give you the shirt off his back, and teach you the most valuable life lesson in the process. He taught me how to tie my shoes, how to ride a bike, how to ski, and how to balance my checkbook. He is actually the reason I became a photographer! Instead of a lawyer!! Thank you SO much, Daddy!!!

Families are as special and unique as the beautiful humans who form them. There is no 'ideal' or 'perfect.' We are spectacularly flawed people doing our best to show up for each other and grow together.

Fathers and father figures come in many forms; no two are alike. Each learning and loving in the best way they know, and most importantly showing up. Helping to chart new courses into the future with their loved ones. On the easy days, the fun days, the sad days, the hard days, and even on the boring days.

To all the brave, compassionate souls who take up the paternal torch... Thank you! We love you! You are appreciated!

My mom and I opened our photography studio in central Kentucky because of my Dad's recommendation. I would not be who I am today without his guidance. I am forever grateful to have him as my Daddy. Hug your Dad today! They’re all special!!
