Kelly Greer has been photographing weddings for nearly a decade in her local area of Lexington, Kentucky. She began her career as her mother's wedding assistant when she was in high school. She worked for her mother, Master Photographer Winnie Greer, in Ashland, Kentucky over the summers until graduating from Paul Blazer High School in 1992. Kelly's interest in photography began to develop during a college semester abroad in London, England. After graduating from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky in '97 with an degree in Economics, she photographed her first wedding early that same fall.

Kelly and Winnie opened a studio, Greer Photography, in September of 1997. Kelly's sister, Leeann, joined the studio after graduating from Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California in 2001. The Greer girls have dedicated their photographic careers to creating timeless memories for their clients through impeccable work and service. Early in 2002, the Greers switched to digital capture, greatly expanding their creativity and flexibility and improving the overall quality of their finished work. They continue to educate themselves about their industry by attending yearly photography conventions and studying new and exciting techniques.

In March of 2006, Kelly and her husband moved to St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. She now travels between the Kentucky bluegrass and the Caribbean, sharing her talents with destination brides in St. Croix, St. John and St. Thomas as well as brides throughout the Southeast. Kelly returns to Kentucky throughout the year to photograph weddings and work for Greer Photography.

Kelly is a member of the Professional Photographers of America and is a Certified Professional Photographer, a distinction held by only 4% of all professional photographers. In order to obtain certification, a photographer must pass a written exam testing knowledge of photographic skills on lighting, composition, color, darkroom and digital technique. Additionally, the photographer's work is evaluated by a panel of judges to assess its merit. Every 5 years, the photographer must submit a current volume of work as well as participate in continuing education classes in order to keep their certification current.
